Applying
So you’re interested in becoming a driver with Sahi Transport – great decision!
The first step is to complete our simple online application form. Just follow the instructions provided, and the process should take no more than 15 minutes.
Once we’ve reviewed your application and feel you’re a good fit for our team, we’ll get in touch to discuss the next steps. It’s quick, straightforward, and hassle-free.
Onboarding
Congratulations – you’ve received an offer and accepted it!
Now it’s time for the onboarding process. We aim to make this stage smooth and easy for every applicant. There are just three simple steps:
1. Licence Check
We’ll carry out mandatory checks to confirm your driving licence is valid and that you don’t exceed the allowed number of points.
2. Drug & Alcohol Test
A quick swab test will be carried out to ensure you are fit for driving. This usually takes around 10 minutes and is completed at our depot.
3. Background Check
Within a couple of days of accepting the offer, you’ll receive an email to complete a background check. Simply follow the link and provide your details – it’s a quick and straightforward process.
Training
Onboarding complete – now it’s time for training!
At Sahi Transport, we believe in preparing our drivers to the highest standard. That’s why we provide structured and practical training to ensure you feel confident on the road.
Our training is divided into three stages:
1. Classroom Training
You’ll receive two days of in-depth classroom training covering everything you need to know to get started. At the end, there will be a short test to confirm your understanding and ensure safety standards are met.
2. Ride-Along Experience
After successfully completing classroom training, you’ll spend two days on the road with an experienced driver. This gives you the chance to learn in real-life situations and ask any questions along the way.
3. Nursery Routes
Once training is complete, you’ll begin delivering on your own – but we won’t overwhelm you. Your first few routes will be lighter and easier to help you build confidence, while still being paid as normal.

You are now fully trained and ready to take on full delivery routes. Don’t worry, you’ll always have support from our team whenever you need it.
